A "Royal first" from Arena

In June Arena completed the first ever 3D recording of the Royal Family, using our HD stereoscopic camera rigs working in 1080 50P. We have also now completed several aerial filming projects.

Recent developments in display technology mean viewers no longer have to wear 3D glasses and can enjoy a rich experience in full HD. There are a choice of monitoring solutions, with or without having to wear glasses. Our chosen route for OBs is the use of special lightweight polarised (sun)glasses which offer a comfortable and flexible solution for monitoring of live feeds.

We can compile stereoscopic recordings into polarised, interlaced, side-by-side, red/green, red/blue or WOW VX formatted output & have a range of displays including 3D projectors, 3D-LCD monitors & VR (virtual reality) style head-gear.

Filming in 3D doesn't need to be that complicated. It's a matter of knowing how to configure the camera systems for each shoot and how best to position the cameras to maximize the impact. We believe we have more experience at 3D work than many other UK operators, so why not phone us for an informal chat.

The best thing to do if you can spare the time is to visit us at Redhill where we can show you a range of different 3D content using various display technologies.
